The Reasons behind
the Images of Our Indian Currency Notes
We use our currency notes countless times, almost daily.
But, how many of you know that each currency note has a specific picture on it
apart from the image of Gandhi and that picture is on every note which makes
every note unique? The RBI has a rule that every note should contain only the
images which makes our country proud which may be of animals, events or
monuments.
1. 1000 Rupees Note
Our thousand rupees note contains an image of agriculture, science technology and oil which are the primary sources of income in our country.
2. 500 Rupees Note
Our five hundred rupees note contains the picture of the Dandi March which is one of the most important events in our freedom struggle.
3. 100 Rupees Note
This note contains the image of the Himalayas, the abode of snow. It is a defining feature of the Indian subcontinent.
4. 50 Rupees Note
This contains the picture of the parliament which indicates we are the largest democratic country in the world.
5. 20 Rupees Note
Although some people might know about the other notes, only a few know about the twenty rupees note. The image is of Mount Harriet national park located at Port Blair, the capital of Andaman and Nicobar islands. That is actually a picture taken from a window of a resort which is located opposite the Mount Harriet park. It also contains the images of Andaman light house and the beach.
6. 10 Rupees Note
Our ten rupees note contains the image of a tiger,elephant and rhinoceros, animals that are found in India.
